Gentlemen:

	In connection with a Far Eastern trip to study computer facilities
and computer research, I need to visit (in that order) both the Republic
of China (Taiwan) and the People's Republic of China (Peking).  My present
passport has a Taiwan visa, and I understand that this makes it
unacceptable to the People's Republic, so I need and request a second
passport for travel there.  I just received the telegram with the Peking
invitation today, so I have no documentary confirmation except the
telegram.

	I leave on my trip on Friday, August 4 at 11am.
